The
following
functions
are
automatically
activated
according
to
the
strength
of
the
incom-
ing FM signal:
e
Hi-Fi
stereo
quality
is
reproduced
with
a
strong
FM
stereo signal.
¢
Reception
is
automatically
controlled
(stereo
se-
paration
is
gradually
narrowed
and
high
frequency
is
slightly
attenuated)
to
reduce
background
noise
as the incoming signal weakens. Eventually, recep-
tion is switched to monaural.
For monaural reception, regardless of the strength
of
the
incoming
FM
signal
or
whether
it
is
stereo
or
monaural.
