THE

transportation
spacer
is

spacer

starting

attach
a
piece
of
tape
to
it
and
store

in
the
case
so
it
can
be
used
when
the
unit
is
transported

@ Make sure not to connect to the PHONO input terminal used
for record players, sound will be distorted, and normal playback
will not be possible.

When using together with Pioneer products marked with the
ER mark, make connections with the supplied control cord.
When this feature is not used, connection is not necessary.
® Tuner
Connecting the output cable
Connect the plugs of the cable to the input terminals of the ampii-
fier (terminals marked CD or AUX}, and to the output terminals of
the compact disc player.
@ Connect the white plugs to the left {L} terminals and the red plugs
to the right (R) terminalis.
@ Make sure plugs are pushed fully into the terminals.
RE-INSTALL THE TRANSPORTATION SPACER
WHEN THE UNIT IS TRANSPORTED AGAIN.
Use the spacer that was stored and insert it in to DISC IL,
@ Insert the raised sections in the corresponding holes,
® Seal the front side with tape.
@ Press OPEN/CLOSE I! key @ and close the disc tray.
@ Make sure the indicated disc number goes off and turn off the
power.
NOTE:
Always remove the discs when moving the player.
Connect the power cord
insert the power cord plug into the auxiliary AC outlet of your am-
plifier unit, or into a household wall outlet.
Illustration of the power cord is not applicable to U.K, model.
OPERATION BY REMOTE CONTROL
When use is made of a stereo amplifier with the Pioneer
Ry mark, connect the control terminal on the rear panel of the
player to the corresponding terminal on the amplifier. This will
enable the player to be controlled from a distance, with the re-
mote control unit supplied with the amplifier.
® The remote control unit can be used for PLAY, STOP/CLEAR,
PAUSE, TRACK SEARCH and DISC operations.
® The contro! cord is supplied with the player.
@ For instructions regarding connection and operation, please
refer to the operating instructions for your stereo amplifier.
