Ensure the unit is securely plugged into the wall receptacle. Also, the fuse may have blown, so replace it if necessary. Check the remote controller's battery and replace it if exhausted. Finally, the timer setting might be incorrect, so wait or cancel the timer setting.

Make sure that neither the air inlet nor the outlet of the indoor or outdoor unit is obstructed; clear any obstructions and restart the unit. Finally, the compressor might be under a 3-minute protection cycle, so simply wait.
