4.2 ConguringIPAddress
The Managed Metro Switch is shipped with default IP address shown below:
IPAddress:192.168.0.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
To check the current IP address or modify a new IP address for the Managed
Metro Switch, please use the procedures as follows:
 Display of Current IP Address
1.Atthe“MGSW-24160F#” prompt, enter “show ip”.
2. The screen displays the current IP address, subnet mask and gateway as
shown in Figure 4-5.

 Conguration of the IP address
1.Atthe“MGSW-24160F#” prompt, enter “congure”.
2.At the “MGSW-24160F(cong)#” prompt, enter the following command
and press <Enter> as shown in Figure 4-6.
MGSW-24160F(cong)#ip address 192.168.1.100 mask 255.255.255.0
MGSW-24160F(cong)#ip default-gateway 192.168.1.254
