What to do if STATUS LEDs are on continuously on PocketWizard Transceiver?
    • J
      johngarciaJul 27, 2025
If the status LEDs on your PocketWizard Transceiver are continuously on, not blinking, and no buttons are pressed, first check for a stuck TEST button on all units. Turn each unit off and back on again to find the source of the problem. Also, remove the unit from the camera’s hot shoe and disconnect and reconnect any connecting cables. Another thing to try is switching all remote connections to the FLASH port instead of the CAMERA / FLASH port.

Why STATUS LED doesn't blink on PocketWizard Transceiver?

If the STATUS LED on your PocketWizard Transceiver does not blink when the power switch is on, try new AA alkaline batteries. If the unit has been left on but not triggered for about 40 hours, it may have shut down to prevent battery leakage; turn it off and back on or change the batteries. If you're using an AC adapter, double-check the power source and connections.

If the flash or camera directly connected to your PocketWizard Transceiver does not trigger when you press the TEST button, first verify that the remote equipment works when not connected to the PocketWizard by trying a different flash or camera. Double-check all connections, eliminate adapters if possible, and ensure the cable is properly connected to the correct port on the flash or camera. If triggering a flash with a household-style sync terminal, try reversing the household connection to correct the polarity. You can also try connecting to the other port on the PocketWizard unit, as each port has slightly different triggering characteristics. Verify the flash has a sync voltage compatible with your PocketWizard. Note that a remote camera cannot be triggered via its PC terminal or hot ...
