• New batteries will not perform to their fullest capacity until they have
been discharged and recharged 20 to 30 times. Batteries should be
fully charged before the rst use.
• When recharging, it is preferable to have the battery pack at room
temperature. Do not charge at temperatures of 110°F or higher.
• Batteries should be charged after each use, if possible.
• In the rst few years of life, your batteries should provide a range of
up to 30 miles at 72°F. At 32°F, your range may be reduced to 12-
15 miles. This is a normal characteristic of electric vehicles. Your
actual range my be affected by road conditions, terrain, weather, and
driving habits.
Operation and Maintenance
• Always wear safety glasses or approved eye protecon when servicing the
vehicle. Wear a full-face shield and gloves when working with or around
baeries and electrical connectors.
• Always use insulated tools when working with or near baeries.
Failure to follow these instrucons could result in death or serious injury.
