Operation and Maintenance
Baery uid is a corrosive acid soluon and can burn or blind you.
Do not allow baery uid to contact eyes, skin or clothing. If acid splashes
in eyes or on the skin, ush the area immediately with large quanes of
water.
Baery gas is ammable and explosive. Keep ame or sparks away from the
baery or any other booster source.
Do not allow baery cable clamps to touch each other.
Baery posts, terminals and related accessories contain lead and lead
compounds. Wash your hands aer handling.
Failure to follow these instrucons could result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
It is essenal, when replacing the cables on the baeries that the posive cable is
aached to the posive post (+) and the negave cable is aached to the negave
post (-). Baery posts are idened on the baery case as posive (+) and negave
(-). Cable clamps should be ght on the terminal posts and free of corrosion.
CAUTION
If the baeries are replaced, make sure they are the exact type and make originally
supplied with the vehicle. Using incorrect baeries can result in damage to the
vehicle’s electrical system.
