2. Range
Improper ination pressures can cause uneven wear patterns to develop across
the tire tread. These abnormal wear patterns will reduce tread life resulting
in premature replacement. Under-ination increases tire rolling-resistance,
resulting in lower vehicle range.
3. Ride Comfort and Vehicle Stability
Proper tire ination contributes to a comfortable ride. Over-ination produces a
jarring and uncomfortable ride. Both under-ination and over-ination affect the
stability of the vehicle and can produce a feeling of sluggish response or over
responsiveness. Replace valve stem caps after tire maintenance to prevent
dirt from damaging valve stem or preventing the stem from closing properly.
4. Wear
Any accelerated wear of tires may be an indicator of improper alignment or poor
driving habits. If uncertain, consult your GEM service provider.
