The activation of DET (Detonation) in your Polaris Offroad Vehicle can be caused by several factors: * Using poor quality fuel. To resolve this, replace it with higher quality fuel. * Having the incorrect ethanol/non-ethanol fuel resistor installed. Ensure that the fuel setting is correct on the gauge/display. * Low or no fuel in the tank. Refuel it with the recommended fuel. * Water in the fuel. Replace the fuel with the recommended type. * Using an alcohol-based fuel additive with Ethanol fuel. Avoid using de-icers or additives containing alcohol when using up to 10% Ethanol fuel. * Improper engine modifications. Refrain from modifying the engine.
