Gear Selector
To change gears, stop the vehicle,
and with the engine idling, move the
lever to the desired gear. Do not
attempt to shift gears with engine
speed above idle or while the vehicle
is moving.
P: Park
R: Reverse
N: Neutral
L: Low Gear
H: High Gear
NOTICE: Do not attempt to shift the
transmission while the vehicle
is moving or damage to the
transmission could result.
Always shift when the vehicle
is stationary and the engine is
at idle.
Using Low Range
Always shift into low gear for any of the following conditions.
• Operating in rough terrain or over obstacles
• Loading the vehicle onto a trailer
• Towing heavy loads
• Operating consistently at speeds
below 40 MPH (64 km)
