Batteries
Battery Care During Storage
When the vehicle will not be used for a period of 10 days or longer, check battery water lev-
els (flooded type batteries) and perform one of the battery storage procedures listed in the
chart below.
Battery Storage Options
Storage Period Charging Procedure
Less than 10 days Fully charge the batteries, park the vehicle and turn the ignition
key off. The battery will lose some of its charge during this
period.
10 days to 24 weeks Option 1: Leave the charger connected and the main
disconnect switch ON (only up to 24 weeks). See page 60.
Option 2: Disconnect the charger, turn the main disconnect
switch off, and arrange for monthly charging.
Indefinitely or Unknown Disconnect the charger, turn the main disconnect switch off, and
arrange for monthly charging.
