Why does my Polaris Offroad Vehicle engine run irregularly, stall, or misfire?
- DDaniel RobersonJul 27, 2025
If your Polaris Offroad Vehicle's engine runs irregularly, stalls, or misfires, several factors could be the cause. It could be due to fouled or defective spark plugs, which you should inspect, clean, or replace. Also, check for loose ignition connections and tighten them. Water in the fuel or incorrect fuel can also cause these issues, so replace the fuel. A clogged air filter should be inspected, cleaned, or replaced. Additionally, low battery voltage can be a culprit, requiring you to recharge the battery with a .5 amp charger. Finally, inspect and replace any kinked or plugged fuel vent lines. For worn spark plug wires, electronic throttle control malfunction, or other mechanical failures, consult your Polaris dealer.
