What to do if my Polaris Outlaw 525 IRS engine turns over but fails to start?

If your Polaris Offroad Vehicle's engine turns over but doesn't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure you have fuel by turning the fuel valve to reserve and refueling if necessary. Water in the carburetor or fuel supply can also prevent starting, so clean the carburetor and/or drain the fuel system and refuel. Make sure the fuel valve is on. If the engine is cold, use the choke to help it start. Other possible issues include an interrupted fuel supply (clean the carburetor or fuel valve), a clogged fuel valve or filter (inspect and clean or replace), old or non-recommended fuel (replace with new fuel), a fouled or defective spark plug (inspect and clean or replace), or an incorrect spark plug gap (adjust to specification).
