FUEL CAP
WARNING
Never allow a child to refuel or handle gasoline.
The fuel tank filler cap
q
is located on the right-hand side of the vehicle near the
passenger seat.
When refueling, always use either
leaded or unleaded gasoline with a
minimum pump octane number of 87 R
+M/2 octane. Non-ethanol fuel is
recommended.
Do not use fuel with ethanol content
greater than 10 percent, such as E-85
fuel.
IGNITION SWITCH
The ignition switch
w
is a three-
position, key-operated switch. Use the
ignition switch to start the engine. See
page 57 for starting procedures.
The key can be removed from the
switch when it is in the OFF position.
OFF
The engine is off. Electrical circuits are off, except
accessory 12V.
LIGHTS ON
Electrical circuits are on. Electrical equipment can be
used.
START
Turn the key to the START position to engage the
electric starter. The key returns to the ON position
when released.
