Setting Up the Tent (if equipped)
•
Open the hatch and lower the tailgate.
• Unroll the tent and slip it over the
hatch with the Aztek logo facing
outward.
• Install the hatch strut supports to
keep the hatch from inadvertently
closing. Place one support on each
side, starting from the bottom and
working your way up.
• Once the tent is supported by the
hatch, cover the bumper with the
fabric at the bottom of the tent.
Note: Before getting started, make sure
your Aztek’s engine and exhaust have
cooled to prevent injury and damage to
the tent.
• Locate the two attaching straps at the
leading edge of the tent. Secure
them to the roof rail tie-down ring on
top of the vehicle.
• Locate the two attachment points on
the passenger side wheel well. One is
a hole in the wheel well, the other is
the edge of the frame. Using these
points, clip on the attached hooks
(repeat procedure on driver’s side).
• Locate and assemble the fiberglass
tent pole to its full length. Ensure that
each of the nine segments is firmly
seated at its connection point.
• Feed the pole through the nylon
sleeve located above the tent’s zipper
door.
