If so, remove the battery and allow it to cool before remounting and resetting the tool.

Remove the battery and allow it to cool, then mount the battery and reset the tool. Also, you may have an improper nosepiece selection. Reset the tool, remove the rivet, and fit the proper nose piece. Finally, the setting load of the rivet might be beyond the tool's capacity. Reset the tool, remove the rivet, and use an appropriate tool to set the rivet.

Another reason may be worn or broken Jaws, you should fit new Jaws. Also, the Jaw Guide might be loose, tighten the jaw guide against the Pulling Head. A weak or broken Spring can also cause this issue, fit a new spring. Finally, consider if the Nose Piece or Nose Equipment is incorrect for the rivet; refer to the Accessories Manual to select and install the correct components.

      If the jaws won't release the broken stem of the rivet, there may be a buildup of debris inside the Nose Equipment, service and clean the Nose Assembly. Another reason may be a weak or broken Spring, fit a new spring. Also, the Jaw Guide, Nose Piece, or Nose Housing might not be seated correctly, correctly assemble the affected parts. Finally, the stem retention/removal feature may be worn out on the Nose Piece, inspect the Nose Piece and replace the O-ring and ball/pin as required.

Also, the setting load of the rivet might be beyond the tool's capacity, in this case, reset the tool to home, remove the rivet, and use an appropriate tool. Another reason may be an incorrect nose equipment for the rivet, refer to Accessories Manual to select and install correct nose equipment. Finally, the Nose Equipment and Stem Collector might be full of stems, you should empty Stem Collector and check Nose Equipment for damage before re-use.
