  There might be several reasons why your POSline Barcode Reader isn't reading barcodes. First, the scanner window could be dirty, so you should clean it according to the Maintenance section. Another reason could be that the barcode type isn't enabled; use the Programming Guide to enable it. Also, the host might have disabled the scanner, so you should check the host setup. Finally, the barcode type might not be supported by the scanner.

  If your POSline Barcode Reader reads a barcode, but the POS system does not accept it, the communication cable might not be connected to the correct port of your POS system; refer to the manual of your POS system to locate the serial port. Also, the communication settings of the system and scanner might not match; adjust the settings so they match. The communication cable might also not be suitable for your POS system, so contact your dealer for the correct communication cable. It's also possible that the software running on the POS system does not support the data format of the barcode label.
