Whenever the platform lip is at the full below-dock
position, the following conditions will exist for a
normally operating ARTD:
• Proximity switch senses target.
• Proximity switch ON (closed) (signal sent to the
control panel).
• Proximity switch indicator light is ON.
• Platform will automatically rise after approximately
a six-second delay, then returns to the cross-traffic
position.
Full Below-Dock Position
Whenever the platform lip is at the fully extended
position, the following conditions will exist for a
normally operating ARTD:
• Target not in the sensing area of proximity switch.
• Proximity switch OFF (open) (no signal sent to the
control panel).
• Proximity switch indicator light is OFF.
• If the platform lip is resting on the truck bed, the
platform will stay at this position unless the
operator activates the leveler.
