Why Poweramp Lifting Systems platform does not rise and motor does not energize?
    • T
      Teresa SkinnerAug 19, 2025
If the Poweramp Lifting Systems platform isn't rising and the motor isn't starting, it could be due to the motor overload device tripping or a blown fuse. Try resetting the overload relay (for three-phase units) or replacing the fuse(s) (for single-phase units). Determine what caused the overload. Another cause could be that the motor starter (three-phase) or motor relay (single-phase) isn't energizing. Check the voltage at the starter or relay coil. If voltage is present but the starter or relay doesn't energize, replace them. If there's no voltage, inspect all components in series with the starter or relay coil.

What to do if three-phase Poweramp Lifting Systems platform does not rise, motor hums, but does not run?
    • P
      Paul HowardAug 21, 2025
If your three-phase Poweramp Lifting Systems platform isn't rising and the motor hums but doesn't run, one possible cause is the absence of voltage on one of the lines. Check for blown fuses at the branch circuit disconnect, and replace any blown fuses. Determine the cause of the blown fuse. Also, check all wiring to the motor for high resistance or a lack of connection.

What to do if single-phase Poweramp PR platform does not rise, motor energizes, but does not run?

      Allen GreerAug 25, 2025
If your single-phase Poweramp Lifting Systems platform isn't rising, but the motor is energized and not running, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the line voltage, as it might be too low. Inspect the wiring to the motor for high resistance, loose, or corroded connections. Also, verify that the wire gauge to the motor meets the load requirement and replace if necessary. Other potential causes include a defective motor centrifugal switch or a defective motor capacitor, in which case you should replace the motor.

Why Poweramp PR Lifting Systems platform rises slowly?
    • M
      Michael JohnsonAug 26, 2025
If your Poweramp Lifting Systems platform rises slowly, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the hydraulic fluid level and add fluid as needed. Another cause might be a contaminated hydraulic system, in which case you should clean and inspect the valves, flush the contaminated oil, and refill the system with new oil. Damaged or restricted hydraulic hoses can also cause this issue, so replace any damaged hoses and remove any restrictions. Finally, check if the pressure relief is set too low and increase it if necessary.

What to do if Poweramp PR Lifting Systems platform does not automatically return to the cross-traffic position or operates abnormally?
    • C
      Christopher LongAug 28, 2025
If your Poweramp Lifting Systems dock leveler with ARTD isn't automatically returning to the cross-traffic position or is operating abnormally, the auto-return proximity switch might not be sensing the target correctly. Adjust the proximity switch and target as needed. Another cause could be a defective proximity switch, which would need replacement. Also, check for broken wires or loose/corroded wire connections and repair or replace them as necessary.

What to do if Poweramp PR Lifting Systems platform does not rise and pump operates in pressure relief mode?
    • J
      jenniferpopeAug 31, 2025
If the Poweramp Lifting Systems platform isn't rising and the pump operates in pressure relief mode, it could be due to a few reasons. First, check for any heavy objects on the platform and remove them. Another possible cause is the dock leveler binding. Check for visible obstructions and remove them. Also, the pressure relief might be set too low, in which case you should increase it.

Why three-phase Poweramp Lifting Systems platform does not rise and motor runs in reverse?
    • V
      Vanessa BakerSep 2, 2025
If your three-phase Poweramp Lifting Systems platform isn't rising and the motor runs in reverse, it's likely due to a phase reversal. To correct this, reverse any two legs at the branch circuit disconnect.

Why Poweramp PR platform rises to full height, but lip does not extend or extend fully?
    • U
      ugriffithSep 4, 2025
If the Poweramp Lifting Systems platform rises to full height, but the lip doesn't extend or fully extend, it could be due to low hydraulic fluid. Add fluid as needed. Another potential cause is the logic block (valve) lever cable weight being too low on the cable. Adjust the cable weight.

      Timothy PetersenSep 6, 2025
If the Poweramp Lifting Systems platform isn't rising to its full height, it's likely due to low hydraulic fluid. Add fluid as needed.

Why Poweramp PR pump motor loads down when platform reaches the full raised position?
    • I
      ihernandezSep 9, 2025
If the pump motor loads down when the Poweramp Lifting Systems platform reaches the full raised position, the pressure relief might be set too high. Decrease the pressure relief.
