Why is my PowerShield UPS beeping and showing a warning code?
    • C
      Christine GriffithJul 28, 2025
If you see the icon and a warning code flashing on the LCD display of your PowerShield UPS and hear an alarm sounding every second, it could be due to several reasons. One potential cause is that the EPO (Emergency Power Off) function is activated. To disable it, set the circuit in a closed position. Another reason could be that the line and neutral conductors of the UPS input are reversed; in this case, rotate the mains power socket by 180° and then connect it to the UPS system. Finally, the external or internal battery may be incorrectly connected, so check that all batteries are well connected.

What to do if my PowerShield UPS is overloaded?
    • J
      Jason HessAug 2, 2025
If the PowerShield UPS is overloaded, you will see the icon flashing on the LCD display and hear the alarm sounding twice every second. This may be because the devices connected to the UPS are being fed directly by the electrical network via the Bypass. To resolve this, remove excess loads from the UPS output. If the UPS is locked in Bypass mode after repetitive overloads, remove excess loads, then shut down the UPS and restart it.

What to do if my PowerShield UPS shows fault code 43?
    • J
      Jamie ChristensenAug 7, 2025
If fault code 43 is shown, the icon is lighting on the LCD display, and the alarm is continuously sounding, it means the PowerShield UPS shut down automatically because of an overload at the UPS output. To fix this, remove excess loads from the UPS output and restart it.

      Sierra BakerAug 11, 2025
If fault code 14 is shown, the icon is lighting on the LCD display, and the alarm is continuously sounding, it means the PowerShield UPS shut down automatically because a short circuit occurred on the UPS output. Check the output wiring and if connected devices are in a short circuit status.

Why is the battery backup time so short on my PowerShield UPS?
    • A
      Anthony MooreAug 17, 2025
If the battery backup time of your PowerShield UPS is shorter than the nominal value, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, the batteries may not be fully charged. To resolve this, charge the batteries for at least 5 hours and then check the capacity. If the problem persists, contact your dealer. Second, the batteries themselves might be defective. In this case, contact your dealer to replace the battery.

Why does my PowerShield UPS have no indication or alarm?
    • J
      John MataAug 21, 2025
If your PowerShield UPS has no indication and alarm even though the mains is normal, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, the AC input power may not be connected well. Check if the input power cord is firmly connected to the mains. Second, the AC input may be connected to the UPS output. Make sure to plug the AC input power cord into the AC input correctly.
