Brewing Hot Coffee
1. Openthecover.Fillthewaterreservoirwithyourdesiredamountofwater.
The “12” line on the side of the reservoir represents a full carafe of coffee; do
notllpastthisline.
Note:
Usespringwaterorlteredwater.Distilledwaterlackstheminerals
necessary to bind to elements of coffee.
Filteredwaterwilllimitimpurities
andexcessivemineralsthatcandetrimentallyimpactcoffeeavorand
machine performance.
2. Insertabasket-typepaperlterintothebrewbasket.
3. Addyourdesiredamountofgroundcoffeetothelter.Closethelid,
ensuring that it clicks into place.
4. Ensure that the carafe lid is properly attached to the empty carafe.
Close the carafe lid.
Note: Coffeemayoverowifthecarafelidisnotplacedproperly.
5. Place the empty carafe on the carafe plate.
6. Ifthecoffeemakerisnotalreadypluggedin,plugthepowercordintoa
standard electrical outlet.
7. Ifyouwanttobrewstrongcoffee,presstheROBUSTO(“STRONG”)button
once.ThelightnexttoROBUSTO(“STRONG”)onthedisplaywillilluminate.
Tobrewregular-strengthcoffeeagain,presstheROBUSTO(“STRONG”)
button again to darken the ROBUSTO (“STRONG”) indicator on the display.
Note: We recommend using the ROBUSTO (“STRONG”) setting to ensure
thebestavorwheneverbrewing4cupsofcoffeeorfewer.
8. PresstheCOLAR(“BREW”)buttontobeginbrewingcoffee.Thelighton
theCOLAR(“BREW”)buttonwillilluminateoncepressed.Youcancancel
thebrewingprocessatanytimebypressingtheCOLAR(“BREW”)button
again.
9. Thecoffeemakerwillkeepcoffeehotfor4hoursbeforeturningoff
automatically.ThelightontheCOLAR(“BREW”)buttonwillremain
illuminatedwhilethecoffeemakeriskeepingyourcoffeewarm.
10. Once the coffee grounds have cooled, carefully open the lid and discard
thegrounds.Afterward,closethelid.
