What to do if SmartView software doesn’t detect PPS Measuring Instruments gauge?
    • B
      Brian CraneAug 5, 2025
If the SmartView software isn’t detecting the PPS Measuring Instruments gauge, or the gauge was detected but stopped communicating, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the gauge is properly connected to the computer according to the instructions. A locked COM port can also cause this issue, so try rebooting your computer and restarting the software. Additionally, the software or drivers might be corrupt or damaged, so upgrading to the latest software version or reinstalling it (while ensuring USB devices are disconnected) is recommended. Another interface box can be used in case the current one is defective. If none of these steps work, the gauge itself might be defective, in which case you should return it for checking and repair.

Why LED does not flash after the battery is installed in PPS Measuring Instruments?
    • S
      Shawn DelgadoAug 12, 2025
If the LED on your PPS Measuring Instruments does not flash after installing the battery, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the battery is correctly installed by unplugging it and plugging it back in again. The battery may also need to be activated. If that doesn't work, the battery might not have enough power, so try changing it. If the memory is full, erase it. If none of these steps resolve the issue, the gauge might be defective, and you should return it for checking and repair.

Why is data recorded to memory noisy on PPS Measuring Instruments?
    • J
      Julia AllenAug 17, 2025
If data recorded to memory on your PPS Measuring Instruments is noisy, it is likely due to the low voltage of the battery. Check the battery voltage or change the battery to resolve this issue.

How to fix 'Could not download job files' error on PPS PPS25?
    • N
      nnewtonAug 23, 2025
If you cannot download job files from your PPS Measuring Instruments, it could be because the record files are corrupt. Use the “DUMP” function to dump the memory of the gauge and then send it to PPS for data retrieving.

What to do if data is out of the gauge specification on PPS PPS25 Measuring Instruments?
    • D
      david95Aug 30, 2025
If the data from your PPS Measuring Instruments is out of specification, the gauge may need to be recalibrated. Use the Diagnostics function to check if the gauge is sending the correct data and verify with the calibration records.
