If the SmartView software isn’t detecting the PPS Measuring Instruments gauge, or the gauge was detected but stopped communicating, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the gauge is properly connected to the computer according to the instructions. A locked COM port can also cause this issue, so try rebooting your computer and restarting the software. Additionally, the software or drivers might be corrupt or damaged, so upgrading to the latest software version or reinstalling it (while ensuring USB devices are disconnected) is recommended. Another interface box can be used in case the current one is defective. If none of these steps work, the gauge itself might be defective, in which case you should return it for checking and repair.
