1. Introduction
There are various models in the 321 Series. These brief instructions describe the balance with windshield. If you
are using a less complex model, the descriptions of elements that are not included can be skipped.
These brief instructions are intended as an initial overview and are an extract from the original operating instruc-
tions. The brief instructions must be available at all times at the workstation. More detailed descriptions can be
found in the original operating instructions, which can be downloaded from our website.
You should read the original operating instructions in full to ensure that you make the best possible use of your
balance.
2. Safety precautions
– When the balance is used in environments with increased safety requirements, the relevant precautions must be taken.
– The balance must only be operated with a fault-free power supply unit.
– Before connecting the power supply unit, ensure that the operating voltage specifi ed on the power supply unit matches the
mains supply.
– The balance must only be operated with the power supply unit supplied.
– If safe operation of the balance is not possible, it must be disconnected from the power supply and secured against unin-
tentional use.
