Installation and Operation Guide for
PD4000 Series Power Control Center
Member
Thank you for selecting Progressive Dynamics as your choice for your RV power needs. We’d like to welcome you to a full line
of industry leading and time tested products including our newest addition to the PDI family, the PD4000 Series POWER
CONTROL CENTER.
The PD4000 Series POWER CONTROL CENTER offers break-through technologies that help maintain and lengthen the life of
your batteries such as our patented Charge Wizard.
The heart of the PD4000 is the INTELI-POWER Converter. The built-in Charge Wizard
microprocessor constantly monitors the
battery voltage then automatically adjusts the converter output voltage to provide the proper charging voltage for fast recharges
and long-term maintenance.
The intelligent way to charge and maintain your RV battery.
With enough AC and DC branches you’ll have plenty of options for your growing RV needs.

What to do if Progressive Dynamics Control Unit has no output?
    • M
      Melissa LoweryJul 27, 2025
If your Progressive Dynamics Control Unit has no output, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the 120 VAC supply is properly connected. Check the AC distribution panel for correct operation. Inspect for a reverse battery connection, as blown reverse battery fuses can cause this issue; replace fuses with the same type and rating if needed. A short circuit in the RV circuits could also be the problem, so trace these for any faults. Overheating can cause a shutdown, so check the airflow and allow the unit to cool. Finally, over voltage can also trigger a shutdown; the converter will shut down if the input voltage exceeds 132 VAC, so check and correct the input voltage if necessary.

Why Progressive Dynamics PD4045 has low output?
    • G
      Gary SimmonsAug 6, 2025
If your Progressive Dynamics Control Unit has low output, several factors could be responsible. The compartment may be getting too hot, so check and improve airflow to the converter. Excessive load for the converter can also cause low output; reduce load requirements or install a larger converter. Ensure the input voltage is between 105-130 VAC and correct it if it's not. Finally, bad battery cell(s) can lead to low output, so consider replacing the battery.

What to do if Progressive Dynamics PD4045 Control Unit has intermittent or no output on generator?
    • A
      anthonycummingsAug 16, 2025
If your Progressive Dynamics Control Unit has intermittent or no output on the generator but works on shore power, it could be due to the unit shutting down because of over voltage. Adding another load to the generator might reduce the voltage spikes to an acceptable level. If the issue persists, contact the generator manufacturer for a possible defect in the generator.
