Function Description
The Pronto2 functions primarily as a stroller for children aged 12 to 36 months, accommodating up to 132 lbs. It is designed for transporting children safely and comfortably, with features that allow for easy assembly, operation, and maintenance. The stroller includes two seating positions, a canopy for sun protection, and a storage basket for essentials. Its design emphasizes safety with a 5-point harness system and locking wheels.
Usage Features
Assembly and Unfolding:
- Wheels: Front wheels attach with a "click" sound into the locking groove and are removed by depressing a rectangular release button. Rear wheels are attached by aligning them with the shaft groove and pressing a release button until they click into place.
- Frame: To unfold, first release the buckle connecting the shopping basket to the backrest seat. Then, release the folding lock on the right side of the wagon body. Pull up the handle to fully unfold the wagon, and finally, attach the fabric cover on both sides of the frame. It is crucial to keep children at a safe distance during this process to prevent injury.
- Backrests: The backrest with an extra buckle on top attaches towards the front wheels, while the one without attaches towards the back wheels. Zippers on the bottom of the backrests connect to the bassinet. Buckle straps on the back of the backrest are pulled through correlating holes in the bassinet fabric and buckled to the outside. Seat belt clips are inserted into holes on the bassinet floor and affixed from underneath. Backrests should be properly installed before use.
- Canopy: Canopy frame buckles are inserted into receiving brackets below the handle bar. The canopy hood fabric slides onto the frame. A silver ball on the main canopy frame is pressed to slide the canopy hood frame onto the main frame. Zippers adjoin the main canopy fabric with the hood fabric to complete assembly.
- Footwell: The footwell padding is separated from the board. Straps are pulled to remove the footwell from the base, which unclips the board from the bottom. The separated floor board is then inserted and lowered to the bottom, ensuring the waterproof fabric faces up. Children should not jump on the footwell to prevent damage or injury.
Operation:
- Canopy Folding: The hood part of the canopy is folded up, and the lower part of the canopy frame is folded towards the handle. The canopy can be fully folded by pushing it further towards the handle.
- Stroller Closing: Simultaneously pull up both levers and fold over the handle. The stroller will automatically lock once fully folded; press down to ensure it is secure. After the frame is locked, flip in the rear basket and connect its bottom buckle to the corresponding buckle behind the backrest near the front wheels. Always apply rear brakes before closing the stroller and ensure it is securely locked afterward.
- Front Wheel Locking: For uneven surfaces, turn the locking device on the front wheel clockwise to lock it. To unlock, turn the device counterclockwise.
- Rear Brakes: Press the brake bar between the rear wheels to lock the brake and fix the wagon. Raise the brake bar to release the brake and allow the wagon to move. Always lock the brake when stopping the stroller with a child on board and never leave a child unattended.
- Handle Bar Adjustment: The handle can be adjusted to a desired length by pressing the length adjustment button in the center of the stroller handle.
- 5-Point Harness: To open the safety belt, press the button to release the shoulder and waist straps. To close, insert the buckles of both shoulders and waist straps into the center button one by one. Always use the complete 5-point harness to prevent serious injury from sliding or falling out. Adjust straps to fit the child securely.
Accessory Attachment:
- Cupholder: The cupholder attaches vertically to the accessory groove on both sides of the handle.
- Canopy Strap: On windy days, the canopy strap can be clipped onto the front of the hood and its buckle part attached to the top of the receiving buckle of the corresponding backrest to secure the canopy.
Maintenance Features
Fabric Removal:
- Canopy Fabric: Unzip the front canopy hood from the main canopy. Press silver buttons on the side of the main canopy frame to pull out the front hood frame. Unsnap the canopy from both sides. Remove the main canopy frame from the stroller frame by pressing buttons and unlatching it from brackets. Fold and set aside. Unzip and separate the fabric from the main frame fabric.
- Backrests: Unbuckle the backrest buckle connected to the outside frame and pull it through the hole towards the inside of the basket. Unzip the zipper on the bottom of the backrest to detach it. Twist and maneuver the bottom buckle out of the hole on the bassinet bottom. Removal is identical for both sides.
- Basket: Locate and unsnap the snaps on either side of the basket. Unzip the zipper attaching the rear basket to the frame.
- Bassinet Fabric: Unzip the zipper wrapping around the top of the bassinet frame and separate the top fabric from the main frame. Pull off the two velcro straps connected on the back bottom of the stroller frame. Unbuckle the strap on the bottom of the bassinet frame and pull off the velcro tabs to separate the bassinet fabric. To reattach, reverse the steps for canopy and seat removal. Periodically check for torn or damaged fabric to ensure safe use.
- Footwell Removal: Flip the stroller over and separate the buckles from the body fabric. Remove all four buckles from the body fabric. Note that the footwell fabric cannot be removed from the board inside; it should be wiped with a damp cloth.
