Fork maintenance
Permanent excellent fork performance can only be guaranteed if it
is serviced periodically. To ensure that you should keep a few things
in mind:
Clean the running surface of the fork after every ride, especially in
extremely dusty or muddy conditions. Lubricate the seal at the pis-
ton rods according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If you are uncertain in any of the points mentioned above, please
do not hesitate contacting Propain or your local bike dealer.
Dropout / derailleur hanger
The dropout on the drive side is also used as the derailleur hanger.
It has a predetermined breaking point to avoid damage of the frame
if the derailleur gets hit by an object. Propain recommends to buy
this spare part in advance to have a quick replacement in case of
damage.
ISCG socket
The ISCG socket is welded directly onto the frame. You can easily
and without the use of adapters put a chain guide on your bike.
Flip-chip
The flip-chip at the lower mounting point of your shock helps you
adjusting your bike to your personal preferences. If you change it
from the high to low position, the bottom bracket is lowered by 5mm.
In addition to that, your head and seat angle are levelled out by 0,5
degrees.
Fork protection
The black fork protection pads are bolted onto the side of the frame.
The pads protect the frame from damages caused by the dual
crown fork.
