Why is my ProTeam P21 not heating the pool enough?

  If your ProTeam Heat Pump is running but not sufficiently heating, consider these possibilities: the unit's capacity might be too small for your pool, in which case you should install a larger model or add another heat pump and cover the pool to reduce heat loss. Check the electrical wiring of the fan or compressor, replacing the condenser or motor/compressor if needed. Ensure the heat pump has sufficient air circulation. Verify and correct the temperature setting. If a by-pass is needed, have it installed. For ice formation on the evaporator, have the automatic defrost settings checked. Finally, a refrigeration technician should check the refrigerant level.

  If your ProTeam Heat Pump doesn't stop running, it might be due to incorrect parameter settings; check and adjust them to just above the heat pump's capacity. Another cause could be a faulty pressure switch; test its operation by turning the filter pump off and on. If the heat pump doesn't react, the switch needs adjustment or replacement. It may also be due to an electrical failure, in which case you should contact your installer.

  If your ProTeam Heat Pump is cooling the water instead of heating it, first check if the correct mode is selected and adjust the parameters accordingly. If the controller is faulty, check the voltage in the wiring to the 4-way valve; if there's no voltage, replace the controller. If voltage is present, the 4-way valve may be faulty; replace the coil. If the issue continues, have a refrigeration technician inspect the heat pump.

Why is there so much ice on my ProTeam Heat Pump's evaporator?

  An abnormal amount of ice on your ProTeam Heat Pump's evaporator could be due to insufficient air inflow; inspect the heat pump's location and clean any dirt on the evaporator. High water temperature (above 29°C) can also increase ice formation, so try lowering the set temperature. Check the automatic defrost control settings with your installer. The 4-way valve might be faulty; check the voltage in the wiring to it and replace the coil if voltage is measured. If problems persist, have a refrigeration technician check the heat pump. Low refrigerant levels can also cause this issue; have a technician check the refrigerant.

What to do if I see a water leak in my ProTeam P21?

  If you notice a water leak in your ProTeam Heat Pump, first, try to find the source and check for chlorine. If chlorine is present, replace the heat pump temporarily while it's being repaired. Condensation due to humidity does not require any action.
