7 Troubleshooting
Problem
Related to pressure control unit
Unrelated to the unit
The pump does not start
Unit is damaged
1. Voltage drops below 200 V
2. Pump failure
3. Wire connection error
Pump does not stop
1. The unit is damaged.
2. Check valve is stuck (mode 2).
3. Water contains iron oxides.
Large leaks in the pipeline
Pump runs intermittently
1. The unit is damaged.
2. Differential pressure setting is too low
(mode 1).
Small leaks in the pipeline
Mode light flashing
Unit is damaged.
1. Leaks in the pipeline
2. Incorrect switch-off pressure
setting when selecting mode 1
8 Recommendation
If the user chooses mode 1, if possible, the pressure difference should not be set too small (i.e. the
cut-out pressure value vs. the cut-in pressure value), otherwise the pump will start frequently. In
addition, the trip pressure should be set lower than the maximum pump pressure achievable for the
specific installation. In the Mode 1 setting, a pressure tank must be used in the system (the preset pressure
in the tank must be 90% of the unit's switching pressure).
In mode 2, only the switch-on pressure can be set; the unit will switch off the pump when the maximum
achievable pump pressure according to the specific installation is reached. It is necessary to check the
maximum delivery height of the pump with regard to the operating conditions of the equipment in the system
(in order to protect the equipment used - the maximum achievable pressure in the system must not exceed
10 bar).
It is recommended to use mode 2.
9 Warning
a) The pressure control unit is not intended for use in medical treatment or in a system that, if it fails, will
cause serious injury to persons or damage to property. Neither the manufacturers nor the sellers of
the unit are responsible for any damage that may be caused by improper use of the unit.
b) This unit must not be repaired by the users; maintenance must be carried out by persons with
appropriate technical qualifications.
c) Connection of the unit to the power supply and pump must be made using the three-core round cable
(or cable of the same cross-section) supplied. To ensure safety, the ground wire must be connected
correctly!
