Transom Door
Do not use the transom door when the boat
is in motion. DO NOT leave the transom
door unlatched. Latch it in the full “OPEN” or
full “CLOSED” position.
Stern Bait and Tackle Rigging Station
(C 280 and C 310)
The sink is equipped with a fresh water
sprayer and drains overboard. The cooler is
insulated and drains overboard. The tackle
locker below the sink provides access to the
stern bilge area.

insulated and drains overboard. When the
livewell option is selected, the cooler is
replaced with the livewell. The tackle locker
below the sink provides access to the stern
bilge area.
Below Deck Fishbox
The fishboxe(s) located in the cockpit are
drained by a macerator pump located in the
bilge. Pump out and clean the fishboxe(s)
after each use. Refer to Drainage Systems
for more information on the fishbox drain-
age.
Refrigerator (S 280 and S 310)
The leaning post is equipped with a DC
refrigerator. While operating on 12-volt
power without the engines running, the
refrigerator may drain the battery severely,
with extended use. When at dockside make
sure the battery charger is ON. Refer to the
refrigerator owner's manual for additional
operating and maintenance instructions. The
"Fridge" breaker in the MDP provides circuit
protection for the refrigerator. Refer to the
Electrical System Chapter.
Aft Seats
C280, S280, C310. To open the aft seat, lift
the bolster and carefully lower the cushion to
the full lowered position. To close, lift the bol-
ster and carefully raise the cushion to the full
closed position.
Keep hands away from the seat mecha-
nism when opening and closing.
ST310
The stern bench seat is hinged and opens to
access the removable cooler. The engines
must be tilted to the full "DOWN" position,
the transom door open, and the latches
released to open the bench seat. A hatch
lifter will hold seat in the open position and
prevents it from opening too far. Remove the
cooler to access the bilge. Refer to Drainage
in the Plumbing Systems section.
! DANGER
CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING
AND/OR ROTATING PARTS HAZARD
Poisonous CO gases are present at
the rear of the boat when an engine is
running. A rotating propeller can cut
or entangle swimmers. Both of these
hazards will cause death or serious
injury. DO NOT use the swim/boarding
platform when the engine is running.
! WARNING
UNSAFE BOAT HAZARD
Failure to close and secure transom
door/gate while underway can expose
passengers to rotating propellers,
throw them overboard or swamp the
boat which can cause death or seri-
ous injury. Close and secure door/
gate before getting underway.
! CAUTION
Inspect transom door/gate fittings
periodically for wear, damage or loose
fit. Repair or replace before using your
boat.
