A.CLEANING
Frequent,thoroughcleaningofyourmachinewillnot
onlyenhanceitsappearancebutwillimproveitsgeneral
performanceandextendtheusefullifeofmanycomponents.
1.Beforecleaningthemachine:
a.Blockofftheendoftheexhaustpipetopreventwater
entry.Aplasticbagandstrongrubberbandmaybe
used.
b.Makesurethesparkplugandallfillercapsareproperly
installed.
2.Iftheenginecaseisexcessivelygreasy,applydegreaser
withapaintbrush.Donotapplydegreasertothe
wheelaxles.
3.Rinsethedirtanddegreaseroffwithagardenhose.
Useonlyenoughpressuretodothejob.
Excessivewaterpressuremaycausewaterseepageand
deteriorationofwheelbearings,brakes,transmission
sealsandelectricaldevices.
Manyexpensiverepairbillshaveresultedfromimproper
highpressuredetergentapplicationssuchasthoseavailable
incoinoperatedcarwashers.
4.Oncethemajorityofthedirthasbeenhosedoff,wash
allsurfaceswithwarmwaterandmild,detergent-
typesoap.Anoldtoothbrushorbottlebrushishandy
forhard-to-get-atplaces.
5.Rinsethemachineoffimmediatelywithcleanwater
anddryallsurfaceswithachamois,cleantowelor
softabsorbentcloth.
