5. INSTALLATION
5.1 PACKAGING
After removing the original packaging, it advisable to save it in case the grinder needs to be moved. The
original packaging serves only to protect the coffee grinder during transport.
5.2 CONNECTION TO THE MAINS
Before connection the coffee grinder cord to a socket make sure the main switch is on “0”.
Scrupulously follow the instructions in chapter 3 for your safety and the safety of others.
5.3 FILLING THE HOPPER
Remove cover 1 and insert the coffee beans.
Do not start the coffee grinder without having filled the hopper.
5.4 STARTING THE GRINDER
Before starting the grinder after a long period of no use, clean it.
• Put the plug in to socket with earthing after having made sure that the mains voltage is the same as the
one indicated on the operating data plate applied to the machine.
• Put the coffee grinder in a place away from sources of heat or sprays of water and steam.
• Pour the coffee beans in the container and close it with the cover.
5.5. COFFEE GRINDING
- Manual
Switch on the main switch 5
Put the filter holder on its bracket n. 8 under the coffee exit 4, push with the filter holder the button 6, till
the desired quantity is achieved.
- Automatic mode
Put the main switch 5 on mode (A), pos. II
Adjust the quantity of grinded coffee through the potentiometer 7, which is under the grinder (pict a).
When you turn it clockwise the quantity of grinded coffee reduces, when you turn it anti-clockwise, the
quantity of grinded coffee increases.
Put the filter holder on the bracket 8 under the coffee exit 4, push once the button 6. When the
adjusted quantity is reached, the grinder stops automatically.
- PID version
When on, the display shows alternatively D1 e D2.
In this status, following actions are possible
• pushing the button 6 (button starting the chrono grinder), you select the grinding time “t1” and activate the
countdown (grinding 1 on).
• pushing twice the button 6 (button starting the chrono grinder), you select the grinding time “t2” and
activate the countdown (grinding 2 on)
• pushing continuously the button 6 you activate the manual grinding and on the display appears “man”
• pushing for more than 5 seconds, the display shows the number of grinded doses from the last preset
(max 999.999); you can read it till is pushed.
The display follows cyclically with the showing a group of three digits. The chiliads are shown by the lighting
of the decimal in the rightest place.
Pushing and you switch from the Set mode to the grinding times t1 and t2
To enter the menu which allows to set the grinding times “t1” and “t2”, you have to proceed in following way:
• Push the buttons and at the same time
• when the display shows “T1” push the button to change the time setted before.
• the display shows the time. It is possible to change it through the buttons and to the wished
value (range 00.0 - 99.9 step 0.1)
• After 3 seconds you have pushed the last button the data is stored and the display shows again “t1”
• when the display shows “t1” push the button to set the grinding time “t2”.
