The Radial JPC Stereo Direct Box is an active "consumer to pro" stereo direct box specifically designed for computer sound cards and electronic media. It converts -10dB consumer signals to balanced mic level and features transformer-isolated inputs to eliminate ground loops. The JPC is 48V phantom powered, eliminating the need for batteries and allowing for long cable runs. The JPC acts as an interface between consumer audio devices (like PCs, laptops, CD players, DJ mixers, DVD audio players, iPods, Walkmans, cassette decks, video players, stereo pre-amp outputs, stereo keyboards, stereo drum machines, and stereo samplers) and professional sound systems. It takes unbalanced, high-impedance, line-level signals from consumer devices and converts them into balanced, low-impedance, mic-level signals suitable for professional audio equipment.
