Ensure the Weather Radio is set to the correct NOAA channel for your area. If the backup battery is weak, it might not sound a tone during alerts, so test and replace if necessary. Also, make sure the FIPS codes stored in memory are correct if the Weatheradio hasn't received any SAME alert signal for about one week. Finally, if your computer is nearby, it might be interfering with reception, so move the Weather Radio further away. You might also be out of the weather broadcast’s range, so move the Weatheradio closer to the broadcast if possible.
