7.1 FILE ACCESS
7.1.1 FOLDER
FolderopenstheavailabledirectoriesonthenetworkdriveviaWebDAVconnection.Youcanaccess,
viewanddownloadyourfilesdirectlyinyourwebbrowser.

Username guest
Password “blank”(nopasswordrequired)
Openyourwebbrowser,connecttothenetworkdriveandclickthefirsticonFolderonthelanding
page.
Logineitherwiththegu estaccountoryourownifyouhavesetupanother useraccountalready.
Allavailabledirectoriesandfilesaredisplayedinlistviewdirectlyinyourwebbrowser.
ThePreviewmodewillshowlargeiconsandincaseofimages(JPG,PNG,GIF,TIF),itwilldisplaya
smallpreviewoftheactualimage.
Previewonlyworksforimageswiththefollowingfileextension:
*.jpg,*.png,*.gif,*.tif
Insteadofusingthe“Folder”linkonthehomepage,youcanalsogoto“ShareManagement”inthe
“ServerSettings”menu.Selectthe“Server”tabandthereyoucancopyeithertheinternalorthe
externalURL,dependingonwhereyourcomputeriscurrentlylocated,andpasteitdirectlyinto
theURLfieldofyourwebbrowser.
Ifyouwouldliketoupload,deleteandmanagethefilesviaWebD AVconnection,mountthenetwork
drive.MountingthenetworkdriveisdonesimilarlytohowyouwoulddoitforaSMBconnection.
ThemaindifferenceisthatforSMB,boththenetworkdriveandthecomputerhavetobeonthe
samelocalnetwork,whereasforWebDAVitalsoworkswhendoneremotely(loading andtransfer
speedareusuallyslowerwhendoneo utsidethelocalnetwork).

7.1.2 FILE ACCESS ON A PC
Forfileaccessonthelocalnetwork,mountingthedriveviaSMBisthemostconv enientsolution.
However,ifyouliketoaccessthenetworkdriveinthesamewayfromoutsidethelocalnetwork,the
drivehastobemountedviaWebDAV.IfyouareusinganFTPapplication,usetheFTPconnection
instead.
