a. Removing the Rear Wheel of a Belt Drive Bicycle
In case you get a puncture of the rear tire, you will need to remove the wheel from the frame. To
do so, follow these steps:
1) Disconnect the brake cable to lose the break arms.
2) Disconnect the shifter cable from the hub to do this, shift to the first gear.
3) Loosen the bolts on the belt-tensioners.
4) Loosen the axle nuts.
5) Move the wheel forward to release the belt from the sprocket.
6) Take the belt off the sprocket and pull the wheel out.

8. Suspension Fork
Your RASCAL Wild or RASCAL Rebel is fitted with a suspension air fork. It can be set for the
rider’s weight by adjusting the air pressure. Other settings include Lockout and Preload (Air
Valve). They will help you customize the air suspension fork.*
a. Lockout can be activated when riding on a smooth surface. It locks the fork
suspension, and the rider can benefit from its stiffness when pedaling hard on an
asphalt or paved surface.
b. Preload setting equals the compression required before the fork starts
suspending with the rider on the bike. It is determined by sag, which is the
amount of travel the fork sinks in when the rider with their full gear is seated on
the bike. The recommended sag is 15-25% of the full travel. Therefore, if the fork
has 100mm travel, the sag should be set between 15 and 20mm. If the sag is less
than 15%, the fork is too stiff (you need to decrease the air pressure). If the sag
exceeds 25 the fork is too soft (you need to pump more air into the fork).
Adjusting air pressure: (1) Unscrew the valve cap on the left leg. (2) Use a shock pump (not
supplied) to adjust air pressure in the fork to the desired level (when removing the pump some
air usually leaks from the pump hose, which does not affect the pressure in the fork. (3) To
decrease the air pressure, use the shock pump as it indicates the current pressure and provides
much more sensitive regulation.
Make sure the inner legs of a suspension fork are kept clean. We recommend treating them with
a silicone spray designed for suspension forks. Depending on the riding style, weather and
terrain, the fork requires a basic service and an oil replacement after every 40-60 hours of riding.
