Cleaning
! IMPORTANT
Perform the cleaning operations so as to guarantee correct chimney operation. The table
below lists the necessary cleaning operations required for correct chimney operation.
Maintenance of the wood insert
European, national and local regulations for chimney sweeps must be respected. It is recommended to have the insert cleaned by
the chimney sweep at the same time as cleaning the chimney.
Before you start cleaning the insert and cleaning the chimney and chimney, we recommend removing the deector plates.
(Instructions are available in this manual). All maintenance and repair work must be carried out on a cold insert.

Cleaning the combustion chamber
Vacuum the residues present in the combustion chamber with a suitable ashtray, making sure that the ashes are completely o󰀨.
These Ravelli products have the combustion chamber lined with vermiculite tiles. Vermiculite does not require particular maintenance,
it must only be dusted with a brush if you want to remove the ash eventually deposited during combustion. Check the thermal
insulation material.
Vermiculite may have small cracks due to moisture or excessive heating/cooling. These cracks have no e󰀨ect on the e󰀨ect or duration
of the insert. However, if they begin to crumble and fall, they must be changed.
NOTE: the chimney cladding is not covered by warranty; it is not recommended to use abrasive sponges to clean the most resistant
slag. because you could scratch the surface.
Be careful when removing the smoke ba󰀪e plates from the insert.
1 Lift the lower smoke deector plate, remove the pins and pull out the plate.
