4. At the end of the driven distance, press DISTANCE again and record the odometer reading.
a. The SCS odometer should read a value of approximately 5280 [1000]. If the display reads between
5260-5300 [990-1010], the default value of 598 [152] is accurate for the speed cal value.
b. If the distance displayed is not between 5260-5300 [990-1010], calculate the speed cal with the
formula:
where CSC = Corrected Speed Cal, OSC = Old Speed Cal, and ODO = the SCS odometer reading.
Round to the nearest whole number.
For Example:
Assume that the SCS odometer reads 5000 [980] after a known 1 mile distance has been driven using an
initial speed cal value of 598.
The Corrected Speed Cal value is 631 [155].
5. Press SPEED CAL and use the Edit mode to enter the new value.
6. Recheck the new speed cal derived in step 4 by repeating step 2 through step 5.
Wheel Drive Speed Sensor
1. Mark the tire on which the speed sensor is installed using chalk or a piece of tape as shown below.
2. Mark the initial spot on the ground.
3. Count 10 full revolutions of the wheel while traveling in a straight path. The mark must stop with the chalk or
tape in the same position it was in at the starting point.

4. Mark the stopping spot and measure the distance from the initial ground mark to the stopping mark in
inches [dm]. Round to the nearest whole number.
Note: This measurement is critical to the performance of the console. Measure Carefully. Be sure tire is
properly inflated before measuring. If possible, measurements should be made in the type of soil in
which you will be spraying. The tire circumference will vary when measured in soft or hard packed
soil. For best results, measure several times and average the results.
5. Press the SPEED CAL button and enter this measurement as the new speed cal.
