4.1Transducersetup
Wind,Depth,SpeedandTemperaturedataarederivedfrom
transducersandsensorsaroundtheboat.Youshouldcheckthe
accuracyofthedisplayedreadingsandcalibrateasnecessary.This
shouldbedonewheneveryouinstallanewinstrumentortransducer
aspartofthecommissioningprocess.
Settinguptransducers
TheTransducersetupmenuisusedtocalibratethetransducersand
sensorswhicharethesourceofmuchoftheinstrumentdata.
1.PressMENU.
2.SelectAdvancedoptions>Transducersetup.
TheST70willsearchfortransducersconnectedtothesystem
anddisplaytheresultsofthesearchasalist.
3.PressENTERtoproceedandsetuptheparametersforthe
transducersfound.
Therearesettingsavailablefor:
Depth
Speed
Wind
T emperature
DST(DepthSpeed,T emperaturesmarttransducers)
DT(Depth,T emperaturesmarttransducers)
4.2DepthOffset
Depthsaremeasuredfromthetransducertotheseabed,butyou
canapplyanoffsetvaluetothedepthdata,sothatthedisplayed
depthreadingrepresentsthedepthtotheseabedfromeitherthe
keelorthewaterline.
Beforeattemptingtosetawaterlineorkeeloffset,ndoutthe
verticalseparationbetweenthetransducerandeitherthewaterline
orthebottomofthekeelonyourvessel,asappropriate.Thenuse
thedepthinstrumenttosettheappropriateoffsetvalue.
