Setting

Age Display in the Viewfinder
After the date, and time have been set, you can enter someone’s
birthday into
he camcorder’s memory. After you enter the
birthday. the

erson’s age can be displayed and recorded.
1. Place the

If you see the date. time, date and time. and/or age
display
in
the
viewfinder while you are recording, it will be recorded on your
tape. You can also select the auto-date feature and the
camcorder will automatically record the date for
approximately
five seconds
whenever
YOU
begin recording after inserting a
cassette or the date changes.
l If you do not want the date, time or date and time recorded,
press the
D/SPLAY
button to remove the displays from the
viewfinder.
l If you do not want the age recorded, press the AGE button to
remove the age display from the viewfinder.
To display and record the date, time, date and time, or select
the auto-date recording feature:
l
After, the date and time have been set, repeatedly press the
MODE button to display the date and time, date only, time only
or AUTO DATE in the viewfinder.
Notes:
Press the
D/SPLAY
button when
AUTO DATE
appears in the
viewfinder to remove the display from the viewfinder and turn off the
auto-date feature.
When the auto-date feature is turned on (AUTO DATE appears in the
viewfinder), the camcorder will automatically record the date for
approximately five seconds every time you start recording after
inserting a cassette or the date changes.
When the auto-date feature is turned on, AUTO DATE will appear in
the viewfinder until recording begins. When you begin recording, the
date will briefly appear while it is being recorded.
To record age only:
l After the date/time and age have been set, press the AGE
button to display and record the age. Press the AGE button
again to remove the display from the viewfinder.
To record age and date, age and time, or age with the
auto-
date feature:
l Press the AGE button to display the age. Repeatedly press the
MODE button to display the date, time or AUTO DATE display
above the age.
