Pleasebeenvironmentallyresponsibleandrecyclethis
productthroughyourrecyclingfacilityatitsendoflife.
Wastedisposalmustcomplywiththelawsandregulations
pertainingwastehandlingineachcountry.
Invacare®iscontinuouslyworkingtowardsensuringthat
thecompany’simpactonenvironment,locallyandglobally,
isreducedtoaminimum.WeonlyuseREACHcompliant
materialsandcomponents.
Thewheelchaircanbedividedintothefollowingmain
components:
Chassis
•Thechassisisproducedinsteelandisfullyrecyclable.
•Recyclingofsteelrequiresonly20-25%oftheenergy
comparedtonewproducedsteel.
•Thewheelchairhastwogaspistonsandtheycontain
oilandmustbedisposedaccordingtonational
requirements.
Beawareofthatthegaspistonscontainshigh
pressureandmustbehandledwithcareduring
destruction.
Plasticparts
•Theplasticpartsinthechairsareproducedof
"Thermoplastic"andaremarkedwithrecyclingsymbols
(whereitispossibleduetopartsize).
•Themainplasticmaterialispolyamide.
•TheplasticmaterialsforthetableareABSand
polyamide.
•Thismaterialcanberecycledorburnedinapproved
facilities.
Upholstery
•Upholsteryisproducedofpolyesterbres(PUR)and
Dartex®.
•Theefcientwaytorecyclethepartsistoburnthem
inapprovedfacilities.
Wheels,tiresandtubes
•Thehandrim,rim,spokesandhubaremadeofsteel,
stainlesssteeloraluminiumandcanberecycled
accordingtoabove.
•Tiresandtubesaremadeofrubberandcanberecycled
accordingtoabove.
Packing
•AllInvacareReaABpackingmaterialisdevelopedtot
theproductsinanoptimalwaytoreduceunnecessary
materialwaste.
•Allboxesarerecyclable.
Endoflife
Attheendofthisproductslife,itshouldberecycled
accordingtolawsandregulationsforwastehandlingineach
country.
