Do you have a question about the RECO SensorLine RM-DPC Micro FP and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The RM-DPC Micro FP SensorLine is a differential pressure monitor designed for robust industrial environments. It measures, visualizes, and controls non-aggressive, gaseous media in both excess and insufficient pressure ranges. The device features a text display with a two-key menu control for easy configuration and display of all necessary functions. Status messages such as ON, SERVICE, and ALARM are indicated by LEDs.

Function Description:

The RM-DPC Micro FP can operate as a two-position controller (Δp controller), a differential pressure monitor, and includes a time function.

  • Two-position controller (Δp controller): This function is active when Parameter 01 "Contr. type" is set to "dP control.". If the increasing differential pressure exceeds the configured Δp max switch point (Parameter 03), relay contact 12, 13 closes and contact 11, 12 opens. Conversely, if the decreasing differential pressure falls below the configured Δp min switch point (Parameter 02), relay contact 12, 13 opens and contact 11, 12 closes. Additionally, it's possible to configure a Δp max alarm switch point (Parameter 05) for rising differential pressure and a Δp min alarm switch point (Parameter 04) for falling differential pressure. Exceeding the Δp max alarm switch point closes relay contact 18, 19 and opens 17, 18. Falling below the Δp min alarm switch point closes relay contact 15, 16 and opens 14, 15. Setting Parameter 04 or 05 to 0 deactivates the respective alarm monitoring function.
  • Differential pressure monitor: This function is active when Parameter 01 "Contr. type" is set to "dP monitor". It monitors Δp min alarm (pre-alarm) and Δp max alarm switch points. If the increasing differential pressure exceeds the configured Δp min alarm switch point (Parameter 04), relay contact 15, 16 closes and contact 14, 15 opens. If the differential pressure falls below this point, contacts revert. If the increasing differential pressure exceeds the configured Δp max alarm switch point (Parameter 05), relay contact 18, 19 closes and contact 17, 18 opens. Simultaneously, relay contact 15, 16 opens and 14, 15 closes. Falling below the Δp max alarm switch point reverts contacts. Similar to the controller, setting Parameter 04 or 05 to 0 deactivates the respective alarm monitoring function.
  • Timer function: The timer function (Parameters 06, 07, 08) allows for time-controlled forced cleaning, independent of other device functions. After the "Timer start" (Parameter 06) time elapses, relay contact 12, 13 closes and 11, 12 opens. After the "Timer period" (Parameter 08) elapses with the configured "Timer unit" (Parameter 07), relay contact 12, 13 opens and 11, 12 closes.
  • Self-monitoring: If all relay outputs (contacts 12, 13 / 15, 16 / 18, 19) are inactive (closed), the RM-DPC Micro FP is either switched off or defective.

Important Technical Specifications:

The device is available in two models: RM-DPC 5000 Micro FP and RM-DPC 10000 Micro FP.

    • RM-DPC 10000 Micro FP: For the range 1000 Pa to 5000 Pa, full scale output is configurable in 500 Pa increments. For the range 5000 Pa to 10000 Pa, full scale output is continuously configurable.
  • Full scale output (FSO): 5000 Pa for RM-DPC 5000 Micro FP, 10000 Pa for RM-DPC 10000 Micro FP.
  • Measuring sensor: Piezoresistive, overpressure-proof up to 138 kPa.
  • Accuracy (linearity and hysteresis): ≤ ± 1% FSO.
  • Supply voltage: 24 V ... 30 V DC.
  • Power consumption: max. 5 W.
  • Signal input: 4-20 mA to connect an external differential pressure sensor.
  • Signal outputs:
    • Relay outputs (change-over contact), potential-free: max. contact load 250 V AC, 10 A; 50 V DC, 1.5 A / 30 V DC, 10 A (ohmic load).
    • Output 4-20 mA / 0-20 mA: 4-20 mA corresponding to 0 ... x Pa*; resistance ≤ 600 Ohm. 0-20 mA corresponding to 0 ... x Pa*; resistance ≤ 600 Ohm.
    • Output 2-10 V / 0-10 V: 2-10 V corresponding to 0 ... x Pa*. 0-10 V corresponding to 0 ... x Pa*.

Usage Features:

  • User Interface: The device uses a text display and two configuration keys (▲ and ▼) for menu navigation and parameter setting.
  • Parameter Configuration: Parameters 01 to 17 allow for detailed configuration of the device's functions, including controller type, Δp min/max switch points, alarm switch points, timer settings, service hours, Δp source, Δp range, current range, Δp attenuation, Δp unit, default settings, and language.
  • Display Modes: The display shows operating messages such as "Contr. active" or "Monitor active" along with the currently measured differential pressure.
  • Additional Information: In "Operation" mode, pressing the ▲ or ▼ keys allows access to additional information like elapsed operating hours, time to next service, and time to timer function.
  • Alarm Messages: The device displays "dP min alarm" or "dP max alarm" messages when respective switch points are exceeded. The Δp max alarm has priority over the Δp min alarm. These messages are not saved and are automatically deleted when the differential pressure falls below the relevant switch points.
  • Language Support: The display text language can be set to DE, EN, FR, ES (Parameter 17).

Maintenance Features:

  • Service Hours Counter: An internal hour counter tracks operating hours. This counter needs to be reset to 0 hours after each filter service (Parameter 10). The "Service" LED flashes if the set number of service hours (Parameter 09) has elapsed, indicating that maintenance is due.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the "ON" LED not lighting, no differential pressure display, differential pressure display error, "Alarm" LED flashing, and "Service" LED flashing. Recommended actions include checking power feed, replacing fuses, checking EMERGENCY STOP, reattaching hoses, draining hoses, cleaning joints, and performing filter maintenance.
  • Safety Instructions: Emphasizes that the device is live when connected to mains and poses an electrical hazard. Installation must be performed by qualified experts according to IEC 364, DIN VDE 0105, and local regulations. Equipment with protection rating IP00 without covers should only be configured by authorized staff when disconnected from power. The mains supply must be switched off before replacing the differential pressure monitor or any connected components.
