13 - MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
PERIODIC CLEANING PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN
CLEANING THE HEAT EXCHANGER
Half-way through the winter season, but especially at the end, the compartment through which the exhaust smoke passes will need
to be cleaned.
This cleaning process is mandatory in order to facilitate the general removal of all combustion residue, before it becomes very dicult to
remove it due to the humidity compacting it over time.
CLEANING THE EXCHANGER
CLEANING THE UPPER COMPARTMENT OF GARDENIA/MARGHERITA STOVES
Remove the cast iron top and the sides when the stove is cold.
Remove the two screws on the right and left “F” for the front cast iron top to be removed “D”. Then remove the exchanger “C” (by removing
the screws) and access the inspection hole to carry out the cleaning (see arrow); use a sti rod or a bottle brush to scrape the walls of the
hearth so that the ash falls into the lower ash box.
Clean and reassemble everything using a new head seal “E”.
CLEANING THE UPPER COMPARTMENT OF ORCHIDEA/PRIMULA AIR STOVES
Remove the cast iron top and the sides when the stove is cold.
Remove the front cast iron top “D” and the exchanger “C” (by removing the screws). Access the inspection hole to carry out the cleaning
(see arrow): By using a sti rod or a bottle brush, scrape the walls of the hearth in order to make the ash fall into the lower ash box. Clean
and reassemble everything using a new head seal “E”.
