What to do if there is spark but no ignition on my ReddyHeater IWH26NLTD-2?
    • M
      Melissa HodgesAug 16, 2025
If there's a spark but no ignition in your ReddyHeater Heater, first, ensure the gas supply is on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Make sure the control knob is fully pressed in while pressing the ignitor button. If there's air in the gas lines from installation, keep holding down the control knob and repeat the igniting operation until the air is removed. Check if the ODS/pilot is clogged and clean it, or consider replacing the ODS/pilot assembly. Verify the inlet gas pressure and regulator setting. Ensure the control knob is in the PILOT position. Lastly, if using propane, check for a depleted gas supply.

Why does the pilot light go out on my ReddyHeater Heater when I release the control knob?
    • C
      Cynthia JonesAug 19, 2025
If the ODS/pilot light of your ReddyHeater Heater goes out when you release the control knob, make sure the control knob is fully pressed in and held for at least 30 seconds after the pilot lights. Ensure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. Check the thermocouple connection at the control valve and hand tighten it until snug, then tighten an additional 1/4 turn. Contact your local gas company or clean/replace the ODS/pilot assembly. If the pilot flame isn't touching the thermocouple, allowing it to cool, causing the pilot flame to go out. Consider replacing the thermocouple or control valve if damaged.
