What to do if my Redlion Water Pump will not pump?

  If your Redlion Water Pump isn't pumping, several issues could be the cause. First, check for air leaks in the suction hose, ensuring it's double-clamped at joints, the clamps are tight, the fittings have thread compound and are tight, and the hose has no nicks or cuts. Also, verify that the suction and/or discharge hoses aren't blocked, and the valves are in good working order. Ensure the end of the suction hose is fully submerged. Finally, the total head might be too high; try reducing it or using a pump designed for higher heads.

Check for debris buildup, faulty or semi-open valves, or a pipe/hose that's smaller than the pump's thread sizes. Clean the hoses and fittings, ensure the valves are in good working order, and increase the hose/pipe size to reduce friction losses. Also, make sure the end of the suction hose is submerged. An excessively worn impeller or a damaged seal could also be the cause, requiring replacement. Inspect the suction hose for air pockets or leaks, and clean out a clogged impeller if necessary. Lastly, confirm the engine throttle is in the FAST position.
