LAUNCH & CRUISE CHECKLIST
√ Obtain a current weather report.
√ Inspect the hull and propeller for damage.
√ Check all electrical system switches for proper operation.
√ Check operation of bilge blowers.
√ If your boat has been in the water, run the bilge pump until
the ow of water stops.
√ If your boat has been out of the water, check to see that all
bilge water has drained out. Install the drain plug.
√ Check that all required safety equipment is on board and in
good working condition.
√ Check that all other equipment is on board such as mooring
lines, rst aid kit, tool kit and extra parts.

Stern Drive
Open engine compartment. Inspect for fuel odors and
visible leaks in the fuel, oil exhaust and power steering
systems. Inspect all lters for leaks. Visually inspect
engine for cracked hoses, defective belts, and loose
fasteners such as bolts, nuts and hose clamps.

OB
Outboard
Inspect fuel components, hoses and hardware including
all lters for fuel leaks.
√
Check fuel level. Fuel tanks should be lled to near full
capacity.
