4. SAFETY GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION ON AN
EXISTING RISK MANAGEMENT
General thoughts
1. It is forbidden to use the wood chipper by:
• Unauthorized persons, untrained, not familiar with the instruction manual or
under the influence of alcohol or narcotics and psychotropic substances (drugs)
and drugs that impair the ability to react
• Children (below the minimum age of the operator defined by local regulations),
• Pregnant women,
• People with limited mental abilities.
2. Before using the device for the first time, the operator should read the
operating instructions issued by the device manufacturer
and make sure he knows the operation of all controls.
3. In addition, the woodcutter operator must be qualified
and undergo appropriate training to learn safe rules
and proper service.
4. To work with the chipper, it is necessary to read the operating instructions.
5. Operators must provide sufficient space and hardened
and a non-slip surface to work with the device. And work only in daylight or very
good artificial lighting.
6. Operators performing work with a chipper should constantly observe the work
area and should never allow bystanders or animals to stay in the working area of
the machine.
7. The chopper operator is responsible for the safety of bystanders or animals
that may be near the machine.
8. Work with the chipper may only be carried out by adults who have been
trained by the employer.
9. An employee performing work with a chipper must be rested, healthy and in
good physical condition.
10. Do not work in rainy weather.
11. Do not overload the device.
12. Work wisely and take regular breaks.
13. Ensure that the chipper's knives are always sharp.
14. In the RS120 model, before starting work with the tractor (PTO
drive), remove the V-belts from the pulleys (combustion drive)
Incorrect use of the device can cause serious injury.
