8.5 What to expect when treating with your device
For many people, using the device may be their first experience with a
light-based device. During a treatment session it is normal to experience
or feel:

Noise: The cooling fan makes noise similar to a hair dryer. This
is normal.
y
A popping sound: With each flash of HPL
™
light.
y
A sensation of warmth and tingling: During each light pulse.
y
Some redness: It is not uncommon to see some very mild, pink-
like skin coloration during or just after a treatment. This is usually
most noticeable around the hairs themselves.
y
Stop use immediately if you see your skin is very red.
y
Contact Customer Service immediately if you have any complications.
