Why my Remington Hair Removal System device does not start?
J
Joyce DuncanAug 1, 2025
Your Remington Hair Removal System might not be starting because the power cord isn't properly connected to the device or plugged into the electrical outlet. Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the device and a working electrical outlet. Also, the outlet itself may not be working. Check if a wall switch controls the power to the wall outlet, or try plugging another device into the outlet to see if it works.

What to do if my Remington iLIGHT Elite IPL7000 does not flash when I press the Flash Button?
B
brianhoustonAug 5, 2025
If your Remington Hair Removal System doesn't flash when you press the Flash Button, it could be due to several reasons. First, check that the area around the Flash Window is touching your skin. The device won’t work unless it’s flat against your skin. Second, the device requires about 4 seconds between flashes. When your device is ready to flash (and the Flash Window is flat against the skin), the Flash Button will blink orange. Finally, the Lamp Cartridge may have reached the end of its life. If a large bulb icon appears in the Display Screen, replace the Lamp Cartridge.

Why the thermometer icon is flashing red and the device is beeping on my Remington iLIGHT Elite IPL7000?

The thermometer icon may be flashing red, and the device beeping because the device needs time to cool down. Wait a few minutes for the device to cool down. If necessary, turn the device back on and unlock it using the Skin Tone Tester.

What to do if the Display Screen indicates that a Cap needs to be installed on my Remington Hair Removal System?

If the Display Screen indicates that a Cap needs to be installed, it's likely that the Treatment Cap is removed or not properly attached. Check to ensure that the Treatment Cap is properly attached to the Hand Piece. When the Treatment Cap is properly attached, you should hear a click sound, and the lights and audible tones will stop.

Why I used the Skin Tone Tester, and it showed an orange light. I can’t unlock the Remington iLIGHT Elite IPL7000 Hair Removal System?

If you used the Skin Tone Tester and it showed an orange light, you may not be able to unlock the system because your skin is too dark, or you didn’t use the Skin Tone Tester correctly. Try using the Skin Tone Tester again.

What to do if when I place the Flash Window against my skin, nothing happens with my Remington iLIGHT Elite IPL7000?

If nothing happens when you place the Flash Window against your skin, it may be because the device is locked. Unlock the device with the Skin Tone Tester. Note that the device must be unlocked again if you don’t use it for 5 minutes. If you take a break in the middle of a treatment, or if you turn off the device, you will need to unlock the device again to use it. Also, the Contact Sensors might not be in full contact with the skin. Check that the area around the flash window is touching your skin. The device won’t work unless it’s flat against your skin. Finally, you might be trying to treat a small area, such as fingers or toes. Try pulling your skin to make a bigger flat area to fit in the Flash Window or use the Precision Treatment Cap.
