STEP 5:
TEST A PATCH OF SKIN
Before treating an area for use each
time, test a patch of skin to determine
the appropriate energy level. Mild to
moderate discomfort that is tolerable is
normal. If the discomfort is intolerable, or
you develop side eects, STOP.
Use the table to determine the energy
level that is right for you.
Note: Higher energy levels are more
eective, but may not be tolerable or may
cause side eects.*
DO NOT FLASH A PATCH OF SKIN MORE
THAN ONCE; YOU WILL NOT GET AN
ACCURATE RESULT, AND IT MAY CAUSE
SIDE EFFECTS.*
*Side eects include blistering, burns, and changes in skin tone. Wait 15 minutes to see if acute side eects develop. If you are unsure about
your skin’s reaction to a particular energy level, do not treat with that energy level. Wait 24 hours before treating to be sure you have selected
the appropriate energy level.
