TOWING (breakdown, continued)
Towing a vehicle with automatic
transmission: features
Engine switched off: the transmission
is no longer lubricated. It is
preferable to tow this type of
vehicle on a trailer or tow it with the
front wheels off the ground.
In exceptional circumstances, you
can tow it with all 4 wheels on the
ground using the towing point over
a maximum distance of 50 km.
The selector lever must be
in neutral (position N).
If the lever becomes
jammed in P position, even
though you are pressing down the
brake pedal, the lever can be
released manually. To do this,
unclip cover B. Press on both the
raised part C and the unlocking
button A atthesametimetomove
the lever from position P.
